Richard Wilson
Managing Director & Founder
Richard Wilson is a successful strategist and change management expert.
At Transformation Partners, Richard's mission is to empower organisations in the resources and energy sector to tackle their most important challenges, while effectively embedding the required changes to optimise their long-term value and performance.
Since 2012, Richard's focus has been deeply rooted in the Australian energy and resources sectors. As a Principal at Boston Consulting Group in Perth, he led several high-impact projects, demonstrating his prowess in operational improvements and strategic reinventions. At Transformation Partners, he has already helped dozens of clients successfully embed change and achieve their strategic ambitions.
Richard's expertise extends beyond strategy and change management into public policy and regulatory affairs. He has served as Director of Regulatory and Government Affairs for a Nasdaq listed energy technology company, as a Policy Manager for a resources and energy industry association, and has contributed to resources industry policy for government in both Western Australia and Canberra.
This unique blend of experiences has equipped him with an unparalleled understanding of business strategy, its intersection with the regulatory landscape and the industry's social licence to operate.
In addition to this professional experience, Richard holds an EMBA from Brown University, a Master of Public Policy from the Australian National University and a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) from the University of Western Australia. He is currently a DPhil Candidate at the University of Oxford, researching the economics of innovation.
